The Southwestern Virginia Metal Arts Guild consists of a diverse constituency from all over Southwestern, VA. Among our members are custom jewelers and jewelry artists, metalsmiths, sculptors, blacksmiths, stone cutters, lampworkers, teachers, retailers and manufacturers. Our members include a variety of metalworkers, from passionate amateurs and students to full-time and part-time professional artisans. SVMAG provides an opportunity for members to meet regularly, inspire creativity, exchange ideas and/or skills, and to have fun and learn from each others experiences.

Membership is open to anyone interested in the metal arts: Students, professional metalsmiths, crafts persons, artists, gallery owners, retailers, collectors, novices, manufacturers, or any individual who wishes to be a contributing member of the guild.

I strive to create jewelry that reflects natural and cultural beauty - gold and gemstones are combined using a variety of techniques into contemporary, sculptural pieces that inspire a sense of tranquility and beauty in the wearer.

Sarah EK Muse

I combine various metalsmithing techniques with compositions of dissected imagery inspired by plant life, feminine symbolism and the human form.

Alison Pack

I use the traditional processes of fabrication and forming to create copper and sterling silver forms that express narratives of womanhood.

Avni Patel

I express myself through the fusion of ethnic and contemporary jewelry, using historical motifs and forms from Indian Art and Architecture.

David Wertz

An experimental working studio dedicated to the bending light of refraction, illusion of mental and metal composition.

Ali Wieboldt

Natural images and materials are used with gold and silver to express an appreciation for the Created world. Pins and pendants often open to reveal hidden inscriptions.
