Artist's Statement: My work expresses my love of the natural world and my background in painting
and drawing. My scientific interest in birds and animals and plants is
interwoven with a deep Christian faith. Pieces often teach ecology lessons
and have hidden Biblical inscriptions that add a spiritual layer to their
meaning. I enjoy the combination of very realistic images with more
abstract metal forms, and I'm intrigued with using text and hidden messages.
